The photo on the right is of my 'Blue Princess'. The plant label described it as a Blue Prince, which is male, but as this plant has produced berries this year, I assume it should have been a Blue Princess. (If anyone can through any light on this please let me know on my contact page)
This holly is a female variety and produces lovely blue-green spiney leaves all year round. In spring small white flowers are produced and large red berries follow on in autumn, provided male plants are close by to pollinate it. (Click on photo to enlarge)
The Blue Princess, along with the Blue Prince, is one of three paired variants of the true 'Blue Stallion' They are all varieties of the 'Blue or Meserve Holly.
